Asia-Pacific Anthroposophical Conference
May 2 to 4, 2009

What is the role of modern technology in child development? What does a holistic approach to child education entail?

This conference welcomes participants from all walks of life who have these burning questions. Together, we will discuss how we allow our community involvements, economic orientations and ecological beliefs to affect the way we deal with modern technology and the education of our children.

The theme of the 2009 Asia-Pacific Anthroposophical Conference (APAC) is:

"The Foundation of Human Experience and the Challenges of Modern Life on Children's Development and Education."

The main speaker, Christof Wiechert, a Steiner school graduate himself, is leader of the Pedagogical Section at the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland. Conference facilitators from different countries will share their experiences in education, economy, ecology and related fields.

The Anthroposophical Group in the Philippines and the Manila Waldorf School are hosting this conference which will be held at the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Educational Innovation and Technology ( SEMEAO INNOTECH) in Quezon City, Phillippines.
