Financial Contributions
The Anthroposophical Society, as a world society, works on three levels: on a world level centred at the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland; on a national level and on a local level. Each of these have physical needs to exist, and each ask for your financial support. (Financial support on a local level is asked for where there is a structured group.)
The New Zealand Society with its groups carry the responsibility for financing the Society in this country, and the fixed contribution per member to Dornach. On an annual basis the New Zealand Society requests financial support from its members to meet these responsibilities through an annual contribution form with suggested average amounts per member. The amounts are subject to annual review but for 2007 these amounts were $100 for the world society, $140 for New Zealand.
Financial support on a local level is asked for where there is structured group, e.g. Auckland, Hawkes Bay, Wellington and Christchurch. For information for their needs we refer you to the local membership contacts (see Directory of Contacts for Groups). Membership of the Society is based on contributions in deference to paying set fees. The Society relies on these contributions to sustain itself. We trust, that in the process of coming towards the Society an individual will find their connection, see what is needed in the Society to sustain it, and meet a level of contribution that balances the needs of the Society with their own circumstances. When one becomes a member a financial contribution form will be sent to them.
